Ya\u015fam durumu kavram\u0131n\u0131n temel d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnceleri, &#8220;ko\u015fullar&#8221; ile &#8220;davran\u0131\u015f&#8221; aras\u0131ndaki diyalektik ili\u015fkiyle ba\u011flant\u0131l\u0131d\u0131r.  Ya\u015fam durumlar\u0131 toplumsal olarak \u00fcretilen e\u015fitsizlikleri ifade etti\u011finden, bireylerin e\u011fitim ve \u00f6\u011fretim s\u00fcre\u00e7lerine farkl\u0131 ba\u015flama ve geli\u015fme olanaklar\u0131 yaln\u0131zca toplumsal ge\u00e7mi\u015fe g\u00f6re de\u011fil, ayn\u0131 zamanda do\u011fum y\u0131l\u0131na g\u00f6re de belirlenmektedir.
